Inhabitants

In Jurassic World, the park has a much wider range of dinosaurs than previous movies had featured throughout the years.

Jurassic World official site, that is portrayed as a realistic theme park website where you can even send your CV to apply as part of the staff there features a section that shows the what Jurassic World has to offer in terms of its dinosaur attractions.

A gallery that shows what dinosaurs are featured in the park. If clicked on, it will show information on the dinosaur selected.

Here are some of the dinosaurs featured on the website, and in the movie.

Tyrannosaurus Rex
In Jurassic World, Tyrannosaurus is one of the attractions of the new park on Isla Nublar. The "T-Rex Kingdom" is located at the centre of the park near Jurassic World Lagoon. It is home to "Rexy", the first tyrannosaur from the original park and has been at home for 25 years on Isla Nublar. They use flares to lure her out during feeding time. She carries scars frm the velociraptor attack of '93 making her a veteran fighter.

Velociraptor

Unlike their predecessors in the previous films, they are more of a Protagonist in Jurassic World. Being hatched and trained by Owen ever since. Each Raptor has their own distinctive pigmentation. Blue(beta), Charlie, Delta and Echo.

Gallimimus

Gallimimus is a ostrich-like dinosaur, featured in all the Jurassic Park movies except for Jurassic Park III. They eat leaves and fruit, and live in Gallimimus Valley in Jurassic World.

Apatosaurus

Apatosaurus is one of the largest herbivores on Isla Nublar, has grey skin with dark blue striping and dark tan on its underbelly and some portions on its face. Their herds live in the Gallimimus Valley, the Gyrosphere and the Cretaceous Cruise. Some of the Juveniles also live in the Gentle Giants Petting Zoo.

Baryonyx

It was planned on living in its own paddock for Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Jurassic Park. Its Paddock was located near a river, which could supply its residents with fish for consumption. These clones had proto-feathers on the back of the arms and head. They resided, along with their relative the Suchomimus in the Cretaceous Cruise.

Mosausaurus

The genus of Mosasaur for Jurassic World was Mosasaur Maximus. It resides at the Mosasaurus Feeding Show. It is fed every 2 hours and is watched from a big tribune as well as the Underwater Observatory.

Pteranadon

Pteranodons reside in the Jurassic World Aviary where people can watch them fly around and also eat. They live beside Dimorphodons, another prehistoric flying reptile. Pteranodon is another famous reoccurring dinosaur of the Jurassic Park movies, appearing in every single film released, usually appearing as the antagonist if not as a cameo.

Dimorphodon
Unlike the original one, this dimporphodon species only has one type of teeth instead of two. On the neck and back, they have thick pycnofibers that all pterosaurs had in real life, but is rare in InGen's cloned pterosaurs.

Microceratus
Their skin came in olive, dark red, turquoise, or all of the above. Each herd had at least one or all of these colors arranged in a unique pattern. They had low intelligence and would mistake litter or trash for food by park visitors. It resides at the Cretaceous cruise and is one of the smallest dinosaur species in Jurassic World.

Stegosaurus
These new clones compared to the ones on Isla Sorna, had a dark skin with light olive green. Their genus was Stegosaurus Armatus as the clones for the park rather than their larger, modified versions. They reside at Gallimimus Valley, as well as Cretaceous Cruise, Gentle Giants Petting Zoo and also the Gyrosphere attraction.

Triceratops
These clones were identical to the brown skinned clones that were created before. They were slightly more sociable than their previous cloned genus. They like to be scratched under their frills. However like the old clones, they still had trouble decerning what was edible for them, at least when they were juveniles. The adults lived in the Gyrosphere and the self-titled Triceratops Territory, but the juveniles, or at least some fo the juveniles, lived in the Gentle Giants Petting Zoo where they could be petted and even ridden by children.

Ankylosaurus
Similar to the Ankylosaur species on Isla Sorna, the only difference would be their color pigmentation. These new clones had grayish skin and dark grey armor. their spikes were a meter longer than the original clones had. The Ankylosaurs can be viewed at the Gyrosphere.

Metriacanthosaurus
Prior to Jurassic World. The first park initially had a metriacanthosaurus skull and a Metriacanthosaurus embryo assuming there was at least one of them on the island. It was recreated in Jurassic World, had proto-feathers down its spine and behind its arms. The clones lived at the Cretaceous Cruise, and are a meter smaller than their original size.

Pachycephalosaurus
A new set was recreated in Jurassic World, the new clones were close to their original sizes. They have dark red skin with lime spots and a lime colored underbelly. They resided in the self-titled Pachy Arena where visitors could watch them have their famous head-butt duels.

Parasaurolphus

Parasaurolophus has been in all 3 movies including Jurassic World, being seen as cameos with short appearances. They have a mixture of tan and brown with their crests having a green mint lining. The other species that also appeared in Jurassic Park The Lost World where they were brown with dark brown stripes and a light brown underbelly are also within the park. They reside at Gallimimus Valley, Gyrosphere and juveniles were at the Gentle Giants Petting Zoo.

Edmontosaurus

In Jurassic World, these edmontosaurs were slightly different from their originals, lacking a fleshy comb on the back of their head. These clones had a tan body with dark brown stripes, a white tail covered in brown stripes, a lime green head with red crests above their eyes and yellow mouth end.

Animatronics

Similar to the original, Jurassic World has some practical effects as well, although perhaps not quite as many.  Many of the close-up sequences of the dinosaurs used animatronics and the like to create a more realistic feel to the creatures, giving audiences the sense that they were actually there. Director Colin Trevorrow was one of the main reasons for this, as he pushed for the crew to use real-life effects whenever possible in a time when it’s become commonplace to lean on CGI.

As Jurassic World continues to dominate the box office, a new behind-the-scenes video has been released revealing the process that visual effects studio Legacy Effects used to bring many of the dinosaurs, including the Apatosaurus, to life.

As is indicated in the video, the use of animatronics in Jurassic World certainly brought more of an emotional impact to some sequences in the movie. This is especially true in the case of the Apatosaurus sequence, which is the focus of the video above. The practical effects created a more intimate feeling in a very emotional scene, whereas if CGI had been used for the Apatosaurus, it might not have packed the same punch.

It seems audiences are starting to demand blockbusters shift focus from large CGI spectacle, as was seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron, to more practical, realistic settings, as with Mad Max: Fury Road and the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Perhaps a combination of the two, like with Jurassic World, is the best solution.

After all, it would be awfully hard to create the Indominus Rex without computer effects to help.

InGen

InGen's company logo.

The InGen security Division was founded in 1993 or before as a small security firm. Their only task at the time was to protect InGen's ambitious project Jurassic Park.

Logo of Masrani Global.

Masrani Global Corporation acquired InGen as well as its security division in 1997. InGen Security protected construction workers on Isla Nublar from its wildlife from 2002-2004 during construction of Jurassic World, which they have protected as well ever since its opening.

Simon Masrani, CEO of the Masrani Corporation, personally hired Vic Hoskins because of how well him and his team handled the "clean up" of 3 escaped Pteranadons from Isla Sorna who had traveled all the way to Canada in 2001. Under Vic Hoskins, the InGen Security went from a small, private security firm into a paramilitary organisation. They gained a partnership with the United Security Council and has kept a watch on Isla Nublar, Isla Sorna and their neighboring islands.

Asset Containment Unit (A.C.U)
The ACU's main role seems to be making sure none of the dinosaurs escape their enclosures and paddocks. They use a type of stun gun-like rifle to stun or tranquelize them. The troopers are outfitted with a piece of technology to track their heart rate and vitality to ensure they themselves are safe, as well as some having mounted cameras to see what they see.

Their loadout consists of mostly 5.11 products. Especially the TacTec plate carrier vest which is seen being used by the troopers for the first time on the screen.

A list of their loadout below.
Vertx Gunfighter Kryptek Typhon Shirt
Kryptek Typhon Pants
5.11 ARES Gear Belt
5.11 Stryke pants
5.11 Recon boots
Samsung Galaxy Watch

The Kryptek Typhon pattern that is seen throughout the movie as part of the uniform for the ACU troopers was theorized on a blog that since Typhon was too dark to be used in the jungle, the production team had used Kryptek Mandrake, a much brighter version of the Typhon that's used for desert
or forest areas.

The uniforms were then dyed in blue. Which is a dangerously expensive method if a mistake is met during the process. Typhon is actually a darker color which is mostly black and grey within the pattern. The ACU use a typhon-like pattern for the exception of the blue toned color on them.

Some of tthe other parts of the gear would include a walkie talkie which could be Kenwood or another brand of radio for communications.

The tracker watch seen in the movie as Hamada checks for the Indominus Rex's position is a Samsung Galaxy Gear watch. It is possible this is also how the control room can track their vitals and status on the monitor screen in the movie.

An Asset Containment Unit team consisting of Katashi Hamada, Lee, Craig, and several others were called to stop the Indominus Rex'es rampage. During their pursuit, they had found her signal and stopped nearby her. Approaching to a small stream, they find a piece of meat with the tracker on her.

An ACU trooper firing his Net gun at the Indominus Rex's mouth.

To their surprise, apparently she remembered where they put it on her and clawed it out on her own. Using the tracker as bait, she ambushed the commander, Hamada, killing most of the team and leaving few alive if not all dead. The squad was almost wiped out considering that they were only carrying non-lethal weaponry. Their squad had only utilized UTAS-15 shotguns, Electrical batons with stun rounds, and Net-snare guns.

An ACU trooper is grabbed by the Indominus Rex.

It had greatly proved the Indominus Rex could hold out on its own and made the ACU's weapons incredibly ineffective against it. Many other security soldiers were also killed after first contact with the Indominus Rex.
